My last EDTC 300 blog post… where did the time go!? I have learnt so much from this course and a large contribution of that is because of my awesome classmates. They contributed to my learning in this course so much, but this blog post is going to show the ways that I contributed to others. Here are some of the things I have done throughout the semester:
A large part of my contributions this semester were on twitter. I did my best to post interesting resources for others to read, ensuring I used the proper hashtags to reach the appropriate audience. All the resources I posted were all related to education in some way, but often varied from Ed Teach to ELA resources (ELA major, couldn’t resist).
I participated in twitter chats where I could share my ideas about educational topics. Not only did I share my perspectives, but I read and responded to other peoples ideas from all over the world. Pretty neat! Because of this, I was able to expand my PLN.
I did my best to ensure I was supporting my classmates by responding to their tweets, offering my advice and perspectives where possible, and responding to polls.
Another platform I used to support the learning of others was my blog. In everything I posted, I used hyperlinks to the resources I was discussing so others were able to go check it out and learn for themselves. I also did my best to ensure I was checking out my classmates blogs to see what everyone was up to and comment/respond to comments.
I also contributed to learning of others while in class. Every class, there was a breakout room where we discussed a particular topic or reading relevant to the class. In these sessions, I always tried my best to contribute to the conversations in a way that would help build knowledge or take knowledge we had even farther.
To wrap it all up, I hope I contributed to everyones learning this semester because so many people contributed to mine. Thanks for a great semester EDTC 300!
